week 2: power

the discussion about power was filled with many layers that i slowly had to digest and process. there are so many different definitions of power and our conversation broadened my perspective on all the levels of power, and how i too have power as an individual. 
i was able to learn that power comes from love. on my own, i am able to feel powerful if i open myself up in love. it was so simple yet i think i failed to realize it until somebody brought it up. originally, when thinking about power my mind goes to the old white men that control the government, but now there are so many new forms of power that i never acknowledge before.

power can definitely transfer from person to person and it is extremely special to know you possess power. it's also a double edge sword, where it can certainly be dangerous if you are using your power for the wrong reasons. however, if power is used for good and it is shared amongst others, beautiful things can form. 

to be completely honest, i am still trying to grasp the idea of power. it is a lot to think about, both what is power and what can you do with the power you have. for now, i want to continue using my voice and do what i can to bring power to others <3
